Hey you alls out there (especially liadan_m ),
Have you seen any evidence of button-front cotehardies with fur lining carrying over into guards at the bottom? The fur as a bottom trim/guard on gowns seems to get really popular at the turn of the century, and the button-fronts popular earlier, but is there any period of overlap that we know of?

It is a cool breeze, but refreshing.

Ahhhhh.

 good event today. at mairegirl 's house now, and totally wiped out. 4 hours sleep + 2.5 hours drive + long day = splat.

more tomorrow if I have enough brain.

 Yeah, I'm up. What is this "at 'em" of which you speak? It's 6.30 on a Saturday!

Time to get showered and packed and out the door.

 Tired. It's not even midnight. But, I was running on about 4 hours of sleep and a short nap. 
Now going to read a bit, and visit with my sweetie some, and then hopefully sleep much more tonight than the night before.

 I've been avoiding updating simply because I didn't want to know how late it had gotten. 
I read for a while but have now been just tossing and turning for an age. Frustrating.

Today was not according to plan- housemate worked from home due to road conditions, so I didn't go do cutting on the big table downstairs. That will have to happen tomorrow.

 Useful day so far today. Have been attacking the upstairs office/sewing room in a fabric-sorting frenzy. Bins are being filled in an organized manner by fiber/fabric type. Whee. It will make much more work room. Also, before too long I'll be attacking some of the basement stuff-- I have emptied some of those boxes and need to condense/combine ( Read more... )
