Wow, this is just beautiful. I was a little apprehensive about reading it at first, only because fics about the program going public usually tear me apart in some bizarre, heart-hurty way. You'd think I'd be more bothered by character death, but no. Anyway, I'm very glad I decided to read this after all because, sigh, team. And the use of Bregman's documentary at the end was just perfect. They've come so far.
