I slept some Monday night into Tuesday, and should go back to sleep soon after doing my bedtime routine.  I have an appointment in the early afternoon.

I thought the weatherpeople had predicted just a dusting of snow over last night and this morning, but we got an inch or two.  I think it will be a day for taking care of the houseplants and the "indoor bulbs" - tender plants that flower in the winter.

I got out before a predicted smaller snowstorm, and had a fairly productive day.  I returned library books and stopped quickly by the usual grocery store.  I then went and returned something I hadn't used to the World Market, and then stocked up on Christmas-themed treats and such that were on clearance.  I went to another grocery store, and found ( Read more... )

Wednesday was definitely a more productive day for me.  I was slow to get going.  I did more of my cutting and pasting of flower pictures.

Dad had put out the birdfeeder, all filled up.  I saw during the early afternoon that the male and female cardinal pair had both discovered the birdseed.

I don't have plans with a specific time, but I did tentatively arrange to meet up with Mrs. L. to give her sewing notions that were in the storage area.  I should go to bed any time now.

I had another pretty quiet day, but I was okay with that.  I took some pictures of those amaryllises that are in bloom.  The flowers on the flower stalk of the 'Merry Christmas' amaryllis that was in flower at Christmastime are going by, but that amaryllis has another flower stalk.  The 'King Star,' 'Cherry Blossom' and 'Aquaro' amaryllises are in ( Read more... )

I don't have to be anywhere, which is lucky, because the weatherpeople are predicting that we'll get several inches of snow.

In retrospect: I ended up brushing the snow off the car's windshields and windows, but fortunately I persuaded Mom to wait a day before going out for muffins.  It was laundry day anyway.

I got a slow start this morning, but I may go out this afternoon.

Later: Since there were predictions of snow for Monday, I decided to go out to see the last day of the Winterthur Museum's Christmas display.  I was glad I went.  Afterwards, I stopped at the comic book store and also stopped for gasoline.
