Serious Question

Alright, I'm going to pose a question to you all that is, frankly, devouring my soul at present. The question is, of course, un-answerable with no absolute right or wrong answers. Ultimately I will either have to answer this question, or allow fate to answer it for me ( Read more... )

I wish I could tell you what is best, but all I know is how I make decisions...I flip a coin, and whatever side comes up, I see how I feel about that. If I feel like I need to flip it again, then the side that came up was not the side I should choose. If I feel satisfied with my flip, then it was the right decision. Make sense? In other words, I think that you already know what you want to choose, you just need to trust your instincts.

That's the best I can do. Other than that, I wish you luck.

I use the coin flip method pretty often myself, although in this case I want to know all the facts so that when I flip the coin I will know more correctly which option I should actually choose regardless.

I agree. It seems like you already know what you want to do..this post leans heavily one specific way :) What I always do when I make decisions: don't think about what's smart. If you choose something because it's honestly what you want but it doesn't work out like you hoped, how can you regret it? Besides, there's always time to change your mind..if you feel like moving at some point, you can try something else.

Good luck!

So I've spent a few days trying to decide which option in my post seemed like the one I preferred. I guess it was more transparent for others than for me! Damn good psychologist I am! I'm guessing that my apparent preference was to return to the states and re-learn how to forgo silly things like adventures, culture, sex, and embarrassing myself while attempting to speak foreign languages.....badly. It sounds like the sort of preference I'd have (Go Me!). Haha. I have a dark sense of humour today. Even more than usual (which is pretty tea kettle dark even on the best of days), so apologies for that! You're probably right, although I'll give an attempt to applying for jobs over here before I return in any case ( ... )
