Storms rolled through Indy (and most of the Nation) yesterday. There was a tornado which tore the roof off a nursing home on the city's Southside. Lots of power lines snapped and trees uprooted. Fortunately the Northside was hardly touched except for some heavy rain in the late evening.

Things are growing thanks to hot WX and plenty of water.

As usual, living in Indianapolis can be hell on Memorial Day weekend what with the 500 mile race. But, since I live on the Northside now and the race dominates the Westside, it's not so bad. If the WX is good, I should have a relaxing weekend.

More rain fell in buckets last night. This time the wind was not as destructive as the night before, and the power did not even flicker. At this rate, I won't have to water my garden!

I keep looking and listening for the dreaded 17 year visitors, but have yet to see any. I thought I heard one last night, but it was the daughter's mobile phone buzzing.

Something is digging in my garden! I suspect the local, "friendly" squirrel-pest that is still around. Where's my gun!

The plants seem to have taken kindly to their new soil.
