Test results from both the colonoscopy and the endometrial biopsy came back clean. Notes for those of you who may have to experience either in the future:

Yeah. I'm so glad I only need to do this every ten years now. Roto-Rooter, anyone? Did you have Go-Lightly or Phospho-Soda? I've had to endure both. Neither is fun. I liked my pretty pink pictures. I didn't like having to do what it took to get them pretty and pink.

Glad you're fine!

Yes--I'm regarding it as 10 years for them to come up with a much better way to do this. I had Go-Lytely, which intimidated me with repeated instructions to refridgerate so it wouldn't taste so bad, but the taste didn't bother me as much as the three hours in the bathroom--and the burning.

Prep is worse that the procedure.
WAY! BTDT. I typically tell patients, "Make sure there's a clear shot to the bathroom :/"

they gave me lovely color pictures of parts of me *I* never expected to see.
Yeah, wasn't that great :P.

Shrieking occurred.
::nodding:: [[[pets]]]

So the upshot is, I'm just fine, thanks.
Glad to hear it!

Yeah, your colonoscopy experience pretty much matches mine. And it's a sad thing, to realize we've reached the age where we're trading colonoscopy experiences.

Glad you're fine. Better than fine soon, one hopes. ((hugs))

My first colonoscopy was 24 years ago, and things have at least improved since then. Then, it was five days in the hospital on "nothing by mouth", taking an IV, THEN the laxative to get anything that remained.

Rolling me back up to my room from recovery, the first thing the floor nurse said was "Mr. Davis, the Doctor would like a stool sample." . . . I kid you not.

The next one, in 1997, was better, and the most recent, in 2002, was even better.

I'm probably due for another, but I'm not eager to take more time off at the moment -- rianfach and I are going to Alabama in March for her to meet my family, so I need my PTO days.

They must have wanted those initial pictures of your colon pretty damn bad. At least you're not really due again till 2012.

Have a lovely time in Alabama!
