umm... yup... you pretty much covered everything i was going to say. i just wanted to add that change can be an iffy topic. there's is a distinct difference between a person changing and two people compromising (pretty much explained by michelle there), but there is also an aftermath that must be carefully observed. when two people compromise or make sacrafices for another, they must fully realize the change that they have made.

That, however, may just be futile attempts at resurrecting something that may well be already goneas time progresses, things change whether or not you want it to. most people want to say that you have to take me for who i am, but the hidden part is that you have to also take me for who i become. i've had experiences in relationships where people try to hold onto something that was in the beginning of the relationship. people try to sit there and say things like you were different back then. well OF COURSE things are going to be different, cuz time changes all people, esecially in long distance ( ... )

does truly being in love mean that you have be willing to endure and sacrifice everything to make it work?

in my opinion it depends on how you define everything. if everything means that you lose yourself then i don't think truly being in love was meant for that. i just think that truly being in love is when two people accept who they were, who they are, and who they are going to be (past, present and future). truly being in love is like the merging of two souls to live one life together, which means that everything about the person must be accepted and loved, including the faults. if the faults can't be overcome, it will NEVER be overcome and you are just holding onto something that let go of you already. no one's perfect... if i know something is bad for me and it hurts me i let it known, if there is not a compromise to be met because they can't supply a compromise, then it's either you deal with it and accept that or you need to let go. you can't always be so stubborn tho. to truly want things to work means you must be ( ... )
