So, I'm going on a spring break camping trip to Death Valley. Unfortunately, I have very little room in my car. So I am trying minimalism for a change, and I'm hoping you all can help me out:

Also? Take some baby wipes or "moist towelettes" or "personal cleansing cloths." I have no idea what they're called now, but something wet and disposable for cleaning up when you get sticky/sweaty/unbearably dirty/hot. And however much sunscreen you've packed, double it -- I don't know if you've ever camped before, but it turns out that being outdoors for three straight days is much different from going outside on three straight days. Just a little type from one pasty white gal to another.

Also, I used to camp all the time -- in church I was a camp counselor, and before that my parents used to take us camping a few times every summer. It has been /years/ though. I actually do decently well in the sunshine -- but because it's a desert, I've totally accounted for extra sunscreen. I have a giant bottle of SPF 45.
And I'm bringing both bug spray and net because I have the unfortunate ability to attract every bug in a 20 mile radius. No sense being half-protected.

-An extra coat/sweater; always good in case something happens to the one, like getting it all wet.
-Also a rug or thick spread sheet to lay under the tent? Something cheap, from good will or something. It makes it more comfortable to sleep on/you can leave a door mat like thing outside the door since you always take your shoes off outside.
-Trash Bags.
-extra propane for the stove of lamps.
-fire wood
-marshmallows and the sticks.
-sunglasses.
um...lets see, anything else?
-a folding lawn chair?
-toothbrush/paste/soap for dishes and you/towel shampoo and conditioner?
