This was absolutely lovely. I liked Ohno's weird naivety and innocence even when he's in such a dark environment - him approaching Nino and falling in love him despite the consequences of his job, and clinging on to his mother's words even when they were said before she was killed.

I loved the stars theme. It was so heartbreakingly sad that Ohno's belief in them was ultimately broken at the end.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I'm glad you mentioned it. I had a hard time grasping Ohno's character here, because I've never written anything about killers before, but for me Ohno still has a bit of his childish naivety left, and because of that he falls in love without thinking of all those consequences. Because with all those cruel things which happened in his life, he's still searching for something to hold on, for something good in his life. And he understands that his father was once in love with his mother, way back then, and so he wants to believe that love can actually happen - even when you're a killer.
So, sorry about the tl;dr, what I just wanted to say is, thank you so much for your comment :) I'm happy to hear that you liked my story!

I love it! I love all of that. It's brilliant how you managed to write Ohno more than just a killer; I liked how your Ohno isn't two-dimensional, that his personality isn't flat but really well thought out.
And Nino too. Most of the fic is in Ohno's perspective, but you could get bits and pieces of Nino's character and how he feels about all of this. He's sort of selfish, isn't he? But he gave Ohno and his job chances, maybe tons of chances, and maybe his selfishness is born from wanting to keep what he loves.
(Sorry, I read this again and thought I should maybe leave another comment XD)

Woah, thanks for reading and commenting again, this makes me super happy :D

And you got the Nino I imagined while writing right on the spot. He is selfish like that, but only because he is so deep in love with Ohno and because he doesn't want to leave him :)

I have this very bad habit of reading the very last lines of a book or of a fanfic BEFORE starting reading it.
Since I don't really like bad endings, I have to preserve my heart from breaking.. I'm sensitive like that.
But this fanfic broke my heart anyway.. :(
It's beautiful, but so sad.. and the open ending at the end doesn't help. It made me feel as if Ohno was trapped into some kind of loop, and he was destined to maybe meet Nino again, but then leave him again anyway and so on, in a neverending circle.

There are many people who do this, reading the last lines first before actually starting a book, but - I don't know, I'd never do that, because most of the time the whole tension is gone then. And I'm one of those readers, who loves to get engrossed by a good story, even if it breaks my heart in the end. To be quite honest, I love to get my heart broken by a story, because that's what makes a good story, when you can feel it :) But it's different for everyone, right?
I'm happy that you think that my story is beautiful and sad at the same time, because that's what I intended to write :)
I left the end open, so everyone could imagine it for themself. Because it could be a loop, like you said, but it also could be the fulfilling of Ohno's promise. And maybe, they will find their way in the end ♥
I hope you could still enjoy my story despite of all the angst and thank you for taking the time to comment :)
