I was just looking at all of my friends on here, and have noticed that the vast majority don't post anymore.  In fact, many haven't posted in YEARS.  It's like a time capsule of that particular time in that person's life.  It makes me feel really lonely and sad

I agree, I really miss livejournal and I check it all the time, but I don't post nearly as much as I used to. I should remedy that.

On the other hand, half of that is that I don't really think most of my life is that interesting anymore. Certainly not interesting enough to elaborate on, like I do when I update lj.

I think Facebook is the reason most people rarely post anymore. They'd rather have dozens of status updates a day rather than try to put their thoughts in well formed paragraphs.
Oh well.

Of course. Hopefully the lj people will eventually come back. Some of the people that disappeared off my friends list did so long before Fb became trendy. People get bored easily I suppose.
