the way things worked out is already in the past, but even if you've moved on to dating other people, and even if you guys had a relatively low-drama break up, you're still allowed to emote.
It's still ok if you look back and think over the things that happened during the end of it, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to close the door on them completely. Pretending that the minute you separate, you're 100% through with that person emotionally is silly. you have to get it out of your system. he was a big part of your life, and now he's being reclassified into another category of the people you know.
Don't let yourself obsess, but you should let yourself work through those feelings, decide what you thought was unfair, disappointing, or not right for you, and then just know that those things that went wrong are the same things that you don't want to be a part of your future relationship(s).
Thanks Kharissa. I kind of feel like what you have suggested is exactly what I am doing. I appreciate your support. I do however feel that people like my sister just expect me to move on without emotion. Le sigh. Everything takes time.
