We're having to cancel Canada :(

Ian's mum is really very poorly, the chemo isn't having much effect, and we can't risk anything happening while we're out of the country for the best part of a month. I was really looking forward to it, it was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime, but we'd never forgive ourselves if anything terrible happened while

sorry to hear that, know exactly what your going through, had to deal with the same problem when my sister was poorly - good luck with getting some money back, it might just be worth getting a letter from your GP as back up - not sure if it will work, but worth a try - *hugs*

My thoughts go out to you, Ian and his family - it can't be an easy time.

On the slight bright side - Canada will still be there years from now.. unless the USA get particularly disgruntled.
