i got my class lists today; i have 2 classes of 14 already, and i'm sure some will add during the first week (we start monday). hopefully some will transfer out, too, because there is no parapro support for teachers at my school (other than self-contained emotionally impaired rooms). luckily, math right now is 9 kids, but i'm definitely worried about english/reading with such high class sizes.

At my school, only ESE Reading teachers have paras and certain mainstreamed ESE students with a need for special supervision. Up until this year, I taught self-contained and didn't worry about not having a para. This year, I only have one 3rd period, which I'm grateful for because that's one of my lower level classes that is also boisterous.
