The end of August means that this journal is now 10 years old. I still remember the night I decided to sign up and try this whole "blogging" thing. Newly married, living in my first apartment, my cat Nikita on my lap. A lot has changed over 10 years.

Only one family evacuated here because of the hurricane. And this family did not have access to radio, TV, or internet. Black Mama Kitty, a thin feral black cat, moved her two adorable kittens to someplace safe to take cover. She moved them back to their regular spot this morning. I'm glad to see they are back.
