Christmas 2010
Isn't it great that Christmas is held on the last month of the year? I don't know for others, but for me Christmas becomes a day of celebrating the year that has passed and celebrating togetherness with special people in our lives. Of course let us not forget that we also celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ on that special day.

Recently, and not for the first time, someone said to me, "Always expect the worst and you will never be disappointed." That is a heck of a statement, isn't it? I know that they meant well and what they were really saying is that they hoped that I could avoid the pain so often associated with disappointment.

why is it that when we're sad, we listen to sad songs? lalo lang natin pinapahirapan sarili natin. but we can't help it, we can't just move on with our lives without thinking about what happened, trying to rationalize things that can't be explained by "science".

in the same way that i don't listen to any particular song when i'm angry, i also don't listen to any one specific song when i'm happy. i usually listen to a song that's been looping in my mind at that moment. assuming i'm happy right now, this would be the song i'll be listening to.

i could've posted something from any of paramore or barbie's albums, but that would be unfair to a lot of other artists out there who also make good music! so i chose to pick my favorite song from the soundtrack of "a walk to remember." (it's a nice movie, btw. i have a copy if you wanna watch! haha.)

i miss OPM. there was a time in my late high school to early college years that i was so much into original pinoy music. i felt proud of those bands, as if i was part of them, haha. but time also came when i stopped listening to them, 'cause they no longer produced good music, at least according to me. so i got out. i miss those days ( Read more... )
