I benefit from a certain amount of Sherlock-Holmes-ignorance that I pretty much take any version on face value. My only expectations are that I will see London, a detective named Holmes and a sidekick named Watson. I enjoyed the first Downey film, and looking forward to the second. I'm not even aware of the BBC version!

Brett is my favorite Holmes. I haven't seen the movies yet, but I hear they're great, although some people think too much license was taken with the characters.

Did you ever read Neil Gaiman's Holmes/H.P Lovecraft crossover story?
