It's not his fault...just the entire Catholic empire working to keep him alive. Which...ok, maybe it's because I'm not Catholic so I don't get it, but why fight so hard to keep him alive when it's become more and more apparent it's his time to go? It's not like they don't have 5 more guys lined up to take over after him.
