This is my new favourite ridiculous pairing. SO FUN TO WRITE.
Eric takes Nate to a vampire party, down in a velvet-walled basement belonging to an outrageous, purse-lipped vampire named Percy, in New Orleans by way of Egypt.
That’s Eric’s first terrible idea. Eric knows it before Pam tells him, but the calendar’s passed spring break by eight days and Eric’s running out of things to do with Nate.
“Do with him,” Pam repeats incredulously. She looks resplendent in her green cocktail dress and expensive jewels. Eric loathes her right now. She looks Nate over appraisingly, his good suit and his cheap shoes, the half-healed bite on his neck. “I’m going to assume you’ve already done the only two interesting things you can do with him
( ... )
Two mouthfuls of blood will fix the damage that has been done to the little bones in Nate’s wrist. Eric makes him promise not to tell anyone of this favour, and that two mouthfuls will be it, no matter how much he wants more

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I kind of love them A LOT! And the best part is that the stories themselves are awesome but I always have this undercurrent in the back of my head about how this is going to effect Nate and Brad and that just makes it even MORE awesome.
Re: Part TwoprysmicdorkOctober 11 2009, 06:09:33 UTC
I adore these snippets so much! The odd gentleness of that first one and then these two with Nate slowly being reeled in to Eric's world (And Nate and Pam, omg love, he would drive her crazy with the earnestness) and Nate in that place where he's still looking for something and less fully formed.
Re: Part TwonightanddazeOctober 11 2009, 20:38:59 UTC
I think Nate and Pam should be SMUSHED TOGETHER FOR A DAY (NIGHT) for some reason or another. Possibly just to amuse the haaale out of Eric! Or embarrass him stupid.
Re: Part TwoprysmicdorkOctober 11 2009, 21:51:34 UTC
The perfect answer is obviously, all of the above! Like, Nate and Pam get shut together into a closet/coffin/elevator/walk in freezer/safe room/whatever when there is some kind of disruption going on, and at first Eric gets to run around and be badass and that keeps him entertained and then he realizes that they're safe (and obviously at this point Pam is not allowed to eat Nate) and but uncomfortable and that keeps him amused and then he realizes that they're talking and he can't hear what they're saying and that drives him CRAZY. and later Pam would be all shrugs, whatever, humans are lame and Nate would be all eh, we just talked and Eric would be like, TELL ME OMG. (sorry, I kind of like Eric best when he's being slightly lame/hysterical?)

As I typed before, I don't watch True Blood, and now I have to remind myself that it's no use making the effort, because there's no Nate in it. But I'm kinda loving Eric/Nate, how weird is that? I blame you, of course.
Re: Part TwonightanddazeOctober 11 2009, 20:40:24 UTC
I would actually recommend TB. It is HIGHLY ridiculous and (very) occasionally touching. But, alas and alack, no Nate whatsoever. But that's what I'm here for!
Re: Part TwojujubinhaOctober 11 2009, 22:57:42 UTC
I made a halfhearted attempt in watching True Blood, but the ridiculous turned out to be too much for me. That, and I really hate the two main characters - whenever Anna Paquin opens her mouth with that ridiculous accent of hers, I end up giggling like a maniac. So I'll probably keep reading True Blood as written my you, if you don't mind. ;)
(I kinda want to read the book, though. People say they're better than the series, and I can always imagine other people as the characters, except for ASkars, of course!)
Re: Part TwofosfomifiraOctober 12 2009, 00:11:15 UTC
Oh, this is so good, so much fun. Of course Eric would be drawn to Nate being to calm and not easily intimidated, not to mention gorgeous and of course he'd become far more attached to Nate than he planned to, which is to say, not at all because Eric doesn't do that, or he didn't, which is why Pam would mock him on a regular basis, or at least she would if she got to see him, which she wouldn't because Eric would be far too busy with Nate, doing dirty, deliciiously perverted things to him.
It makes me want to see more of this, of Nate's days (nights) of debauchery with a vampire and how/why they came to an end before he joined up and how/why Brad learns about it.
Hi, I think I may like this pairing a little too much.
Re: Part TwonightanddazeOctober 12 2009, 14:16:53 UTC
Mildly Jealous!Pam who mocks sounds amazing! She would think Eric was mostly out of his mind, because really? Really? Yes, he's very pretty. But he's also for eating, Eric.
And she can't even have a taste? Worst maker ever!
Just kidding, Eric.
Well. Clearly I like this pairing a little too much as well.

*shivers with glee* Awesome - I just love the idea of Nate fighting off the vampires, and Eric feeding Nate vampire blood, and Nate being so obedient and just taking what he's told, and Eric (hee, so nearly typed Brad) imagining turning him. Delicious!
