An old favorite...
I was playing an old tape in my car cassette player. It happened to be a mix tape that I had made from CDs I (or my roommates) owned when I was an undergrad at the University of Illinois. Most of them were from normal pop music hits of the time, but one of them stuck out as something just a wee bit unusual:

Taxes
One of the central issues of this election are taxes. Both candidates have proposed a plan to change the tax rates in this country. They both purport to be able to fix the economy and allow prosperity to build again, but plan on doing it in radically different ways (this is to say they actually get to pass what they propose, but that's a post- ( Read more... ) -
Oooh, now I'm getting all political!
McCain was in Ohio today, focusing on the economy. The AP Report covered it well, and CNN had some clips of the action. As I was watching that I was wondering what the crowd was thinking - because at the times they applauded, I was always shaking my head. Maybe we're hearing things differently?

What motivates me to post?
Ugggh. Palin. At first I thought she might be interesting because her name was the same as Caramon and Tika's youngest son. About thirty seconds later, I realized I hated the positions this woman took on many of the issues*. I could write for hours about all the things that piss me off about her, but the latest is her knock at science:

Trip Home: Over
My trip home to Illinois/Midwest started on the 27th of December and ended on the 5th of January. I could go into great details about the events, especially about the wedding that I was a part of, but I thought I would reduce it to a short-hand form. If there's any questions, let me know.
