Far too hot now. Cannot write full sentences: too hot. Only the second week of June and about 30 degrees. 36.7 with the humidex. All doors and windows open, same hot air going in and out. Wishing for a massive thunderstorm to break it all up late tonight. It's overcast, though not dark enough. My roommate just walked by and said, I don't know what ( Read more... )

It's only 20 or so here, and it's too too hot. I like the 'plum juice drying in brown tears down her neck' - oh, summer all over. I cd cry. I can taste it!

20 degrees is only room temperature! it's perfect!

it's still hot today. my roommate said the humidex didn't drop below 29 Celsius overnight. wah, wah, wah, I am such a northern baby.

I like it (didn't realise it at the time) that you are tormenting yourself with written descriptions of heat while also enduring it yourself. There is something twisty about this. ;)

yes ;p

I remembered another good book the other day, but have forgotten. my brain cells have been sizzled!

Buck 65 is good hot weather music - as is, of course, the Lovin' Spoonful.

I can't stand the heat either. My body is sticky and my brain is mush. I don't think i can live in this city much longer. Once this degree is done i'm heading for a coast as fast as i can. That or, like, Iceland.

Speaking of degrees: How close are you to done? Will i see you around in the fall?

Reading that comment about The Great Gatsby brought back unpleasant memories!

I remember that book as a mental torture! ....

(ok ok, I am French Canadian, so being forced to read that book was not a pleasant thing. But I like the movie they made. :) And the symbolism of the Green Light across the water...)
