I may not make it to knitting tonight, folks. The Betta Fish Club is having an event tomorrow and they need help with setup. Also S has a home fixit situation, and is staying on it.

Knitting Group Alert! Our hotel will be stuffed full of drunken Oklahomans tonight, so don't go there! We must knit in exile. (not to say that there won't be plenty of drunken Texans... just they won't be at our hotel.) Stand by for news of new temporary haunt!

This doesn't necessarily apply just to Friday.  This weekend at our hotel, ConDFW is going on.  If the hotel lobby gets too crowded, I have a room that we can hang out in.  A word of warning to those allergic, I will have a small geriatric cat with me.  I plan to be there all weekend as do wendini and helmine.  Come on out hang out and say hi.

Will anyone be attending tonight, or is everyone staying with thier Significant Others?

Not referring to our Friday night knitting club but the book of the same title by Kate Jacobs.  I picked up a copy at Half Price Books and then got the sequel, Knit Two for christmas.  Both books were good but some of the characters were predictable.  Also both included a couple of easy knitting patterns.  One of which I will try to make for my ( Read more... )

Anyone know of any knit patterns for newborn hats, mittens and booties/socks that use sock yarn?

I don't necessarily want to do a newborn hat on size 0-3 needles but I will.

Oh, and I prefer in the round rather than knitting on straight and having to seam the sides. Ugh!
