I had a lovely walk with my Mum and Dad yesterday, in the Wyre Forest about an hour from their house. It was beautiful at this time of year, all the leaves turning golden. Very muddy though! I got some pretty pictures:

I know! I almost expected to find a pixie sitting on it :D It was huge too, bigger than a handspan across.

I'd like to keep watching Elementary, but I hope it sticks to a formula of standalone episodes and avoids any kind of overarching storyline, because I am also terrible at keeping up with TV!

What lovely pictures!

I am REALLY enjoying Elementary! Although I really have nothing to compare it too because I can't actually think of any other Holmes adaptations I've watched (modern setting or original setting), so I'm not sure HOW that's affected my enjoyment. But regardless, I think it's a great show. Jonny Lee Miller is fantastically manic and smart and Lucy Liu doesn't let him get away with shit. It's AWESOME.

I can't help comparing Elementary to the BBC's modern-day 'Sherlock', which is RIVETING with great chemistry between the male leads but has noticeable flaws, and so far it seems Elementary has avoided those flaws! Anyway, I'm really looking forward to watching more of it.
