A UN based report came out last week and stated that 2% of the world's population earns 1/2 of the wealth of the world. Among other things. The report was almost immediately buried in the corporate press so it's hardly surprising if you haven't heard of it. My landlord came to my door today and told me something I had long suspected. he is in negotiation with the city parking authority to sell this property and the one next to it. Yesterday I wore a suit to work to tour the new director around our department. The Special Collections Librarian gave me some of her time with him so I bent his ear to the collection needs at the University. Well I'm glad that week is over; we moved offices at work and now I'm in a different area. There were a lot of high emotions as everyone was in character here and things were typically a great deal more tense then they needed to be but for some reason through it all I was pretty happy inside. Good Day Today! I just finished making cosmetic repairs to the gold crown of a Sican (pre-Peruvian, 900 - 1100 AD) emperor. My hands didn't shake but there certainly were butterflies in my stomach. Feeling very energised these days. Busy with jobs and studying is going well. I ride my bike at night I love it. When it gets too cold for that I'll just got to the gym I've started visiting (first time in years) it's got me feeling fantastic. Nagging back injury is on it's way out!

Well, the trip to Cairo is out as I've already gone on conference this fiscal year. It's just aas well, I wasn't at all ready to go. Made a presentation at work on Tues. and thought it went ok despite the fire alarm when by boss called me Davey Baby and said I was a star. She told me she was motivated by me. What a Very Long Weekend that was. I'm going back to school this semester. I'll work a little later on the days I have classes. I'm super excited to be studying again but please god; no high school anxiety dreams. JH and I just put our dear friend Sabrina and her baby cat on a plane to Toronto.

On Saturday night Sabrina and me went to the Ironwood to see indie pop singer/songwriter hero M. Ward. It was a solo acoustic show and the place was really fucking hot.
