Well, if you ever want to escape northeastern suburbia for a while (or forever), you let me know. :) Can't get much less suburban over here. The town's population is about 1500 and the closest city is Albuquerque, NM...and that's a 4-hour drive away. And the people here, while rednecky, are very nice. Put it this way: With your recent car trouble, you'd've have had about 10 cowboys beating down your door to give your car a jump, and they'd all call you ma'am. ;) Whenever I get a flat tire -- which is unfortunately often around here, what with the dirt roads -- I've never had to change it myself. There's always a handy polite cowboy around. :) Hey, there's even a nice little 4-year college you can teach at in town
( ... )
Excuses, excuses. :) C'mon, you can drive here in a day if you don't sleep. Or you could take a bus, but that'd take longer. Or a plane, if you're adventurous. ;) There's even an airport in Durango. ;)
Oh, that's right! Even more reasons to hate Walmart! Kidding, kidding... ;)
Actually, I don't hate Walmart in general. Just the one here. And actually, I don't even hate the store. I hate the fact that it's the only place to shop in town, so whenever you go there you see at least five people you know and once you stop and chat with each of them and THEN do your shopping, you're there for three hours. :p Ahhhh, small towns. ;)

But...I do love my car. Wait. That sounds wrong.

And I do plan on visiting Denver some day, so it wouldn't be a stretch to take a sidetrip.
