Eeee! Another meme! Actually, I think I’ve done this one before, but it was fun, so I’m doin’ it again!

Type your cut contents here.
1. What are you reading now?
The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox and Sailing to Sarantium by Guy Gavriel Kay.

2. What's the last thing you finished reading?
A laughably silly book by Luanne Rice called Firefly Beach. ( Read more... )

"The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox..."
o_O Dude. My former roommate's name is Mike Cox...

Didn't they make Kite Runner into a movie? I think it's playing now, actually. Don't know the synopsis of it, though... and the fact that they made it into a movie means nothing. Just... random information ^_^

Yay for Terry Pratchett and Jeffery Deaver! (And I think it is Jeffery Deaver... I remember thinking that he spelled his name weird. *goes to find book to check spelling* Yup, Jeffery. ^_^ Isn't Lincoln Rhyme awesome?! *fangurl squeal* He pwnes leik woah!

Reading this just reminds me that I need more books to read T_T When I have my own place with space in Australia, it will be back to my hoarding activities ... muahaha! (I reckon my current collection would build a stack halfway to the moon :D)

Sylvia by Bryce Courtenay…actually, I didn’t finish it.

Meh, I agree. I think Bryce Courtenay is incredibly overrated (either that or has gone steeply downhill from some glorious earlier book like 'The Power of One', which I haven't brought myself to read). 'The Potato Factory' was physically painful to me. The book about his son's AIDS was better, and very poignant, but you could argue that a real biography without writing devices is a different thing altogether.

He was at a writing conference at the live-in college where my Mum used to work once, so I was allowed to go along, but I felt really uncomfortable about being there to hear him talk about writing without actually LIKING his writing ... :/
