I've taken up watching Naruto Shippuden from the beginning. I've actually been considering it for a while because Naruto, being the anime that truly got me into anime, occupies a very special place in my heart in spite of the fact that it's super long and ridiculous and kinda sorta sexist

I finished the second part many years ago. Back when I was thirteen or fourteen, I pretty much inhaled that show, hehe. I'm pretty sure I watched the first few episodes of Shippuden when they first came out but then stopped because I got distracted by other things. That's the thing with shonen manga: even when it's good, you have to have a wicked attention span to keep up.
