Carried out a small favor for Mme P. today which meant I canceled going in to my normal "work" and then getting picked up by M. Cxavo. He's got a newer Mercedes since the last time I saw him. Took this whilst on a recent trip. Canary Wharf's quite an intereting new area that's been redeveloped. Worth a visit, but a bit difficult to get to. Reminded me of Darling Harbour in Sydney.

Earlier this week, took the metro into work. Well, like I could have walked, but felt lazy. My station is one of the ones raised up above the Boulevard de Grenelle - essentially the Metro goes right down the middle of the street. So, it's above ground, that's the key point. Just have to say that I really get annoyed when I see folk putting on their make-up whilst on public transport. I mean, like, make-up's warpaint and you're supposed to already have your armour on to help defend yourself in the outside world. By the time you're on the Metro or wherever, you're in that jungle.
