Realizing Relationships

Being in my late thirties now, I have begun to realize that actual REAL relationships are not about being "in love". Sure, you love the person you are with, care deeply for them, you enjoy the time you spend together, so having that friendship above all things is the most important thing. my father told me at a very young age that when it comes to marrying someone that its a better idea to marry someone that you like to talk too rather than sleep with. i never understood why he said that to me because i was so young that i had no idea that he was talking about sex and not actual sleep...lol but he was right and when i met my now husband i loved talking to him so much that the conversation with my father echoed in the back of my head almost every time we were on the phone or face to face. i will never forget my father telling me that and i will pass that wisdom onto my children someday.

why thank you! having nothing better to do at work usually get things popping in my head..lol...glad that you added me as a friend also...you have a different way of looking at things...its kinda cool.
