i was just in the philippines for almost two weeks teaching and performing for little kids. also volunteered at All the Way Live Philippines, an urban dance festival that will be traveling globally--first stop Philippines. you can tell because whenever you walk into any business run by asian people one of the first things they ask you is, "where are you from?" or "are you chinese?" this question isn't as frequently posed to me back at home because back at home EVERYBODY is chinese. people just start talking to me in mandarin and i nod and smile and then they look ( Read more... )
