You could make some fab icons with some of those pics - especially the spider one. ;)
I bought so many toys for mine when they were kittens, but their all-time favourites - both of them - were a rolled up piece of newspaper tied to a length of rope, and a stick that Poppy pulled out of a plant pot. Piece of string sounds about right!
Cats do love to curl up in small, dark spaces. Poppy used to crawl under the throw on the sofa or up underneath the bed settee, and Alfie likes to get under the quilt. Behind the sofa sounds just perfect for your two!
When Poppy was very tiny and used to curl up at the nape of my neck at night (which she still does at times, in fact), I was petrified that I'd roll over in my sleep and squish her...but somehow I just trained myself to lie very still when she was with me!
Sitting on cat-under-blanket has never really been a risk, because they tend to make such a big bump (out of all proportion to the actual size of the cat) that I can't miss them *G*
Lol I think ours are still too small, they could hide under our blankets very easily, but we have big bulky blankets cos I get so cold!!
That's great you managed to train yourself to keep Poppy safe!! lol! I shut the boys in the kitchen at night, I'm still worried about accidents and the kitchen floor is wood so that's safer! They've also started to mark a few places, their bed for one thing has been washed 3 times so far!!!
I love the hiding spot by the electronics. I thought at first that it was the same kitten only two pics, but died laughing at adorableness when I realized they both love the same place and peeking out for pics! LOL!
I love the string picture how one is posing, but the other one is all serious business with the string. ;)
And how cute is the last one where they are astonished you found their new hiding place! The one on the left looks a bit guilty for causing you a panic.
The spider watching one is so sweet. You'd have to know it's something moving that could capture their attention to sit still long enough to get a good photo of them together. Though it's not surprising a moving tail quickly became more interesting!

I will get some newspaper for them! They played for ages yesterday with a piece of paper on the wooden floor, shooting around after it!
They do love the dark small spaces, especially places you think they can't possibly get into let alone be comfortable!!
I'd be worried I'd sit on them if they went under the sofa or blanket!

Lol, my birdies always love to go behind the DVD player as well, but in their case I think they act partly on nesting tendencies! ;)
I'm glad you managed to catch some pictures of them awake that weren't blurry too...
