Rumour or Fact, Who Knows

There are rumours afoot that all is not well in Livejournal, that a good number of employees have just been laid off with no severance package, and that the Russian owners may not keep the site going.

Hmm - it's not looking great. I hear you can import cvs archived entries to things like Wordpress though, or maybe Blogger, if it comes to it.

*sigh* I really do not want to be thinking about this. I think I tagged some of the 'Save Your LJ Contents' posts from the strikethrough debacle in my delicious account. It might be time to go and actually read the posts...

Yours is the second similarly-themed post on my friends list today. Both you and the other source aren't known for making wild, flighty claims... so I think it's worth paying attention.

In the past, I've used LJ Book to generate a PDF backup of my LJ.

I suppose I'd better visit the site again, since I never did back up the backups...

Thanks! I've had this one for ages now - i like it so much I can't bear to change it *g*. It has a few bugs depending on the browser and fonts installed on the computer, but I haven't got round to making it more robust yet. It's a modification of the Expressive layout type.
