Hot!

I certainly don't envy anyone having to commute without air conditioning today! It's not often needed, but today was one of those rare occasions. It said 28° on the temperature gauge at the quarry on the M8!

Yeah, the train from Glasgow smelled absolutely delightful on the way home - a fantastic mix of ripe armpit and sunscreen.

Working in Government offices is always fun in this weather, as there's not a single one that has air conditioning - every window open and every ceiling fan causing a blizzard of paper and all it served to do was push the soup of warm air around a bit. Went out to grab a salad at lunchtime and just ended up laying out on the grass in Blythswood square for an hour.

The tickets are free so it's a real good deal if you get in fast enough.

Heh. 82 degrees Fahrenheit? I guess that sounds a little hot ;] (I'm in Florida)

I'm sure with no AC and a bunch of PC's running in the confines of an office it gets pretty unbearable, though :]

Heh. I have the same issue, actually. Floridians tend to overcompensate for outdoor weather using their climate control systems. It's not unusual for a Floridian to run their heater at 80F in the winter and 70F in the summer. I usually have to bring a sweater to work every day during the summer :[

Have you tried chemical hand warmers? Having one in each pants pocket makes a really big difference.

Working from home today, as my other half isn't well and I'm helping to look after our little girl. It does mean I haven't had to deal with public transport or hot offices though, and I've been able to go out into the garden every now and then to check up on plants in the greenhouse (which are loving the heat!)

It's 24°C in my kitchen today, and probably a good four or five degrees warmer outside :)

It's a little cooler in Glasgow today and a lot cooler in Edinburgh - cold wind and harr there.
