with all the problems i've been having with the pumpkin plants, mold, rotting baby pumpkins, it was really just the last nail in the coffin. i had one pumpkin growing. it was doing well. it was lonely, but what are you going to do? i knew some day i would have to put netting over it, but for now it was just green and so unripe i thought it was safe ( Read more... ) -

so i got seasons 4 and 5 of gilmore girls recently for 20 bucks each which is a huge deal. that's better than 50% savings on those puppies. but i'm sad because now i have a hole in my collection where season 3 should be and it's just not there. i refuse to pay anything more than 30 bucks now that i've seen stuff for 20 but i can't find it for less ( Read more... ) -

so i drew this before i went away to maine last week, and then fred and i saw five painted turtles in one afternoon of canoeing. most jumped in the lake as we approached but one just stood his ground on a log, however hesitantly, both times we passed him- upstream then our return downstream. what a brave little guy! reminded me of all those pet ( Read more... ) -
