That's pretty much my list, as well! heh Well, we've discussed James Nesbitt, but really, these are all my wishes.

The one I'm sure will happen though, regardless, is some form of #4. RTD can't NOT do that apparently, and with the build-up this season, and of course what he did last season, it's gonna be there in some way. Especially with all his companions there.

*shudders* Unpleasant, though, it is.

Honestly, I wish I could walk away from this show. I am embarrassed by it so often. I'm practically dreading this episode, but I have to watch it. It's like tearing the Band-Aid off quickly!

James Nesbitt... There's just something about him that makes my skin crawl and always has. He played a lot of sleazy characters and seems to be very good at it.* However, honestly, he is a better actor than Tennant. I saw a thread somewhere on a British TV blog, can't remember where now, that asked who people thought were the most overrated actors, and I was quite amused that Tennant and Nesbitt BY FAR were the most popular choices. I think fandom forgets that.

*But what would be entirely freaky is that he played Jude's uncle in Jude, so he's sitting right next to CE in that pub scene with DT!

I'm sort of glad I don't have that history of Nesbitt, heh. I thoroughly enjoyed him in Jekyll. Is it just more, or do I say that a lot and am starting to resemble a record player?

But I can completely agree that Tennant is more than overrated. Sure, he puts himself fully into the role, but I find myself seeing more of a caricature of a Doctor, rather than a character.

That is exactly my issue. There's no center to him, it's all surface, he's entirely hollow. He's like that in every role I've seen him in, and I've seen most of them, but it feels more extreme in the case of the Doctor. He's not entirely untalented, but in most of the cases where people go, "Oh, that was beautifully played!", I'm mostly thinking, "That was adequate. For a change." He doesn't really move me, certainly not as the Doctor - I was more moved by John Smith.

My wish... that I actually get to see it...

But, yes, I mirror your list.
