Wow! I stumbled across this chapter, and was hooked from the first sentence. Now I'm going to go back & start from the beginning (always a good place to start), then come back and start begging for the next chapter!

Love the characterizations and the way you write the tension between Nine/Rose (sigh!) Jack is great -- as usual -- and the story is a cliffhanger!! What could have felled the mighty Time Lord ... tune in tomorrow to find out...!

It's going to be a bit of a long haul! But I hope you enjoy it. This started way back in December. I do have it all plotted out, but my muse has been a bit evasive at times.

I'm glad it worked for you, even dropping in in the middle. That, I hope, means that the characterization works with canon!

Oh, fantastic, as always! I'm always so happy to see another chapter of this; you have such a way with these three, and your stories are always so lyrical and atmospheric. The scene by Rose's door was incredibly sexy in such a subtle way. The Doctor's definitely a tease!

Absolutely love this, and I'll be looking forward to more.

Yes, the Doctor is a tease. To be fair, it's not entirely his fault, but he's trying to be noble.

As the muse has currently deigned not only to visit but to hang around, I may even have another chapter before you take yourself off to foreign climes. In some ways, this was the story "hump" - I felt like I needed build-up to get to the actual plot reveal in a realistic way.

I hope so. I'm trying to stay awake until 10pm tonight and hope to do a little writing while watching the Olympics. It worked well Sunday, I wrote almost all but the "goodnights" in one sitting.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed this chapter. Everything's so incredibly detailed, from the character's longing to the scenary to everything that's going on around them. And the end, oh, how I feel for the poor Doctor. What's going on? When will we find out? I want more! *g*
