when i wanted a cat i just bought one my self, ruffed it up alil but and said i found it on the side of the road and then "got realllyyy attatched to it" and my mom just let me keep it, its worth a try, it almost always works bc chances are once its alreay at yuer house, yer dad will grow fond of it too, and dont forget the tears if he says no and then say if u kick the puppy out ur kickin me out hahah
