1.What first got you into the Star Trek fandom? 2. What was your first fandom, and are you still active in it? 3. In your opinion, who tops--Bruno or Boots? (I have no one else who appreciates these boys, okay, you are always going to have to deal with questions like this from me.) 4. If William Shatner ever did become the Governor General, what would your reaction be? 5. If you could be any one character from any universe, who would it be?
5) Anne McCaffrey, who made a book about dragons into my first porn novel. I agree, definitely a literary hero. Oh, the memories.
4) Jezuz Christ, that is a guilty pleasure movie.
3) Lol.
2) Brothers. definition- boys you grew up with who act as a catalysts for shedding away the shackles of civilization and are a convenient excuse for the bat-shit insanity that ensues. I approve.
1) OMFG, Tim Hortons is real. Real Canadians go to real Tim Hortons. ...wow. (Genuine awe brought to you by someone born and raised in sunny CA and thus perceives both Canada and Time Hortons to be a fantasy land along the lines of Narnia.)
I think my first experience with sex in books was in the Gondalara Cycle when I was ten or so--and that is a series that should also be on my list, dammit! (My brothers and I had a habit from a fairly young age of picking up the books that our parents had read and devouring them. By the time I hit twelve, they'd gotten a bit more careful about which books they left lying around, and one of the funnier memories of my childhood is still the moment I asked my mother what 'impotent' meant.)
And if you are every anywhere near Toronto, come visit and I will take you to a Tim Hortons, where I will ply you with double-doubles and timbits until you're practically Canadian yourself.
Now for the interrogation!
1. What is it that you love most about Sherlock Holmes, and what drives you to keep writing in that world? 2. Do you find angst or fluff easier to write, and why? 3. Who is your literary hero? Because now I want to know
( ... )
Oh yay! You answered :B (I missed this on my friends page - I blame work)
*grin* A local radio station had a feature where they'd send their interns out to various Tim Hortons locations in Edmonton with Sharpie markers to add the apostrophe, free of charge. It was awesome and let me know that I wasn't alone :D
2- Heeeeee~! So much fun, I'd love to sit around quoting Monty Python. It reminds me of the time that a moose bit my sister ;)
3. Oh, I adore Pon Farr. I saw an icon that declared it canon's gift to fanfiction and I couldn't agree more. I wish there were more awesome-caliber fics out there for it, but the idea itself is sex and love and ponies and win :B
4. OH GOD I LOVED THOSE FREAKING PENGUINS :D
5. I was willing to take either or. Both of your lists fill me with glee though. ESPECIALLY Aziraphale and Gaiman ~<3 A gift link: my fave Good Omens fic . Granted, I've only read two - but I'm just getting started :D
THAT FIC. I've dipped in and out of the Good Omens fandom a couple of times, mostly just as a lurker, but I hadn't read that one before and clearly that was a heinous lack. Just. Wow. Aziraphale and Crowley, with bonus Death and oh oh oh, ILU forever for that link.
I adore GO fic that delves a bit more into the serious aspects of what Aziraphale and Crowley are and what it means while still retaining the humour and quirky characterizations that delighted me in the first place. This... this pretty much embodies that.
I presume that as this page is viewable it is open to the public. If I am mistaken, I apologize. Beam me up, Scotty. Does this phrase refer to the transporter technology? I understand that Pon Farr is extremely unpleasant. As I have not yet experienced it, however, I am not certain of the correctness of this assumption.
I SOMEHOW DID NOT SEE THIS COMMENT UNTIL NOW. I do apologize, and assure you that there is a logical explanation for the oversight that includes my computer being sporadically possessed by evil. (It is totes logical, and also fascinating reading.)
Now for the interrogation. If the length of time elapsed between your original comment here and my response has put you off my illogical human questions, I promise I will not be upset.
1. When and why did you first become aware of and interested in the tales of Starfleet? 2. Why are you mad, and--forgive the presumption--but I had not thought such things were prevalent among your people. Could you explain the circumstances? 3. Leonary Nimoy or Zachary Quinto? 4. If you became the Supreme Leader of the Federation, what would your first edict be? 5. If William Shatner came up to you tomorrow and asked you to run into the sunset with him because Chris Pine was stuck down the well on Tarsus IV and needed your help, what would your response be?
1.My brothers are the biological children of George Kirk. Their Godfather tells us such stories. 2. I am not mad, but I do not behave as a normal Vulcan because I am being raised among humans. I have also been informed that 1. All interesting people are mad and 2. I am interesting. 3. I do not understand that question. 4. That there should not be a Supreme Ruler. 5. That would depend on the sanity of the individual in question.
