It makes no sense that my mother has cancer. She is so healthy, active and has no pain. But she does and we are all trying to be optimistic but inside I'm scared and sad. I'm also exhausted.

oh awful :/ what kind does she have? did they catch it early? i don't remember you mentioning this before so hopefully i didn't miss it.

We just found out about the cancer and it does seem that they have caught it early. They diagnosed her with Barrett's esophagus early in the year and part of what comes along with that is possible cancer. It's gone quickly though, she has been tested every 2 months and first there was no sign then precancerous cells and now early cancer. They have to test for cancer in the lymph nodes before they do surgery to remove the esophagus and with that the cancer and hernia in her esophagus. We should know more in a couple of weeks and best case the cancer hasn't spread and she'll have surgery in early October. Thanks guys for your support, it means a lot.
