February 1941. Beneath police station. Captain Axis.

The station had recieved a bomb threat this morning, and even though I'd been part of the team that made the sweep through the station and beneath, double-checking couldn't hurt. I patrolled quickly, leaving Nelson at headquarters when we'd finished, deciding to make another quick sweep through the station ( Read more... )

I smile in the shadows, watching the Owl search for something he only half suspected was there. I aim my gun for the fool announcing his presence with the flashlight, the click of metal the only sound betraying my presence. I wait for the spotlight to fall on Captain Axis, the prodigal son of great Germany, terror of feeble-minded Americans snce my days as a saboteur under the employ of the Fuhrer himself.

My voice is oddly resonant from behind the mask, heavily and proudly accented.

"Good Evening, Herr Owl."

I heard the click of a gun trigger before I saw him, or heard him for that matter. Gun, and I tensed instinctively. I was unarmed, and the only contest between me and someone who was tended to be how good their aim was. I'd been lucky thus far, hopefully I'd continue to be.

I swung my light around, and saw him, a man in a gas mask and uniform, with a heavy German accent. And I doubted he had any sort of good intentions.

"And who might you be, exactly?" I said cautiously, watching his hands. Shining metal, small and lethal-looking, and this man aimed to kill. Could tell just from looking at him.

(ooc: i think it might be bad that i can't stop giggling. this just promises to be lolsome >.>)

I laugh, taking slow, measured steps forwards, my pistol trained unerringly on the costumed hero's chest.

"So strange, that the circuit for the lights seems to have failed, don't you think?" I begin, my speech carefully planned and rehearsed.
"...but of course, I am a master of the electronics, the circuits and the hundred different ways to rewire them. I would be careful of which switches I flipped if I were you. A little carelessness can cause... accidents."

I took slow, measured breaths. That damn gas mask kept me from reading his face. I'd have no warning at all if he fired.

"So you called in the bomb threat?" I asked, not expecting an answer. He hadn't bothered answering my first one. I stiffened as the light revealed a swastika on his chest. Nazi, or someone who wanted to be a Nazi, at least.

"No accidents though. Perhaps you've overestimated your talent for circuitry."
