Candy Canes have expiry dates
The first food I managed to keep down wasn't really food but sucking on the only boiled sweets in the house - candy canes I'd kept for baking. Turns out they do expire though. They got thrown out (including the one I was sucking on) but at least it was the first promising sign...

Gosh, it seems awfully close now! I'm turning 28 and some bratty little underage teenager still refused to sell me wine at the supermarket because my license was in the car.

Costumed Ball in a Castle
So after listening to the Chocolate Carnivale get promoted repeatedly on the radio, I decided to have a squizz at the website. For a change Cosmo is gracing the pasenger seat in my car (instead of TIME) to keep me amused as I sit at traffic lights. Apparently the latest trend is for butt facials (and V-facials but the beauty editor chickened out). Wine in a can?
Is this a new fad? Have I somehow been onblivious to this phenomenon because I don't check out the RTD fridges very often and normally buy my wine from the town of food? According to the newspaper I can now pick up 1L of Sauvignon Blanc in the form of a 4 pack of slim cans for only $9.99 ( Read more... )
