The funniest scene in a movie all year.....

(I guess we're just sick that way.) (We also laughed harder at that than any scene from 'Little Miss Sunshine

The scenery, and the interiors of the log houses, oh my god, the drool and envy. Who cared about the crappy dialogue? lol.

I haven't seen the Nick Cage remake yet, and frankly I'm frightened to. But the original Wicker Man from @ 1970 is one of my favorite films. It starred Christopher Lee as Lord Summersdale and Edward Woodward in the role Nicholas Cage hams up in the new version. It's dreadfully low budget but eerily effective in spite of that. And the music is absolutely sublime. It's a cult classic in all the right ways. I'd recommend checking that one out to see it the way it was meant to be.

I do think I watched that on VHS at some point in the nineties. I didn't really get why it was a cult classic, unless I'm missing something?
