selenak rec'ed this and I'm really sorry I didn't see it before. It's astonishingly good. (And because I'm a bit of a shipper, heartbreaking. He didn't deserve her, by the end, but... I feel like that tragedy is kind of the point of his entire life too? It's hard to see how else it could have happened. I like to believe they worked out, though.)

Really though: I want everyone to read this before they attempt to write this character. Donna was so fucking amazing.
