well. its been...over a year...theres been a lot. i have returned to livejournal because its where i always used to come to get it out & have a few friendly ears on the other end...mostly nicky. which is terribly funny because the thing thats pressing on my mind at the moment makes me think of you

So I read this and thought about it for about an hour.. My advice is this:
Though you have all the right intentions and wont make a move, this guy still is cheating on his girlfriend. Maybe not in the normal sense of it all but emotionally yes. Guys when unhappy will go elsewhere for there needs from women rather than talking about it with their significant other. We're just supposed to magically know what a man wants/needs when he wants/needs it.
When the other shoe does drop I'm worried that you'll be the one left without a match... Though he seems great for you he also has shown (rather large) signs of weakness. You may not see it that way because no one ever does myself included when in the situation. I have been all three sides of this story: no one wins. Especially not the new girl.
Stay friends with him and let them work out the break up that way you'll know he chose you for the right reasons rather than an easy out with something that seems to be failing. I just don't want you to get hurt in the end of it all.

That's pretty much where I stand with the whole thing as well...I mean, it's not like there's any real possibility of a relationship, I'm leaving in 3 months, but it just sucks that I feel anything I say as a friend will be seen o be coming from a place of "well she likes him of course shed say that" but I do feel like he's kinda using the fact that I'm leaving as a scapegoat as well...I don't know. If there weren't this THING between us, then I wouldn't feel so weird being all "hey. Guy. YOU KNOW THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG. do something about it." maybe I should just leave him alone with Charlsie for 15 minutes or so...

It's a shame. Because he is rad. & I'm sure she's lovely. But is blatantly obvious that there is something wrong or I wouldn't have to sit thinking about this whole deal...

relationships are completely stupid!! i agree! well it sounds like you know what you're doing!! what a completely frustrating situation. boys are also stupid.. that must be what makes relationships stupid.. lezzie relationships must be super smart... ahaha!
