Well, I did it.  Caught a summer cold.  It reared it's ugly head 2 days after the 4th of July.  Which is 2 days after the water heater gave up the ghost.  I went through 4 boxes of Kleenex in 4 days, got little to no sleep and lost most of the skin under my nose.  With no hot water for 8 days.  And the world went on without me.
