[Well, it's about time. You girls had him worried sick.
...no, seriously, hearing their voices is a huge weight off of Giles' already weighted mind. The distance between himself and his journal in the Building 7 kitchen is covered in a blur.]
[She's too worried about Usagi to be worried about herself yet, Giles. But as neither of them seem too beat-up, Ami is slowly starting to relax.
It's always her mind people are interested in anyway. Fortunately, this time, that meant a series of intelligence and psychological tests rather than anything too intrusive.]
Giles. [Her voice is quiet with relief.] It's good to hear you.
The feeling is entirely mutual. [And it shows, through his tone of voice. Friends of Ami's are friends of his, of course, but having her get snatched away had been hard to deal with.]
Y-You, um, you haven't missed very much. Well, no, you've missed the arrival of some sort of...gigantic structure in the forest. But I haven't had the chance to investigate it quite yet.

Leonardo... [What can she even say to that? She doesn't know the right thing to say, to make it better. Probably, she can't. She can't even imagine what it's like to miss a sibling.]
I know, I don't have any brothers or sisters, so I can't really say I know how you feel. But, I'm sorry.
[And that's still a lot easier than thinking about what missing Mike means to her.]

[A wave of pure relief hits Robert as he hears the voice of one of his friends. Any strange announcements on the journal system which will be probably be puzzled with more later are ignored in favour of the fact Ami is back and okay - and so Usagi, which is even better.]
Doctor Mizuno... I am glad to hear you and your friend are safe.
... Is... is there anything I can do for... either of you?

[She feels a quick, possessive urge to insist she'll take care of Usagi. She pulls it back to a more polite way of putting things.]
Thank you. We're alright. Fortunately, we don't seem too affected. Just, very tired. I remember a lot of exams, even for me. [She may almost be making an (admittedly flat) joke of it - but of course her brain is always what's interested people about her; the Malnosso are no different).]

[Usagi comes absolutely first, always.
A possible threat to the safety of the people overall comes next, always.
Still, of course Dil is important to her. More than most might realize, for the girl who always wanted family. And, she's deeply grateful to find out he's been cared for.]

Leonardo! [She sounds surprised.] I'm glad to hear from you. [And Mike? Mike?]

Same. Good to hear you're both well. [Mikey would be glad too. He's happy, but he's subdued too.]
Ami...Mikey went home.
[She already knew about Raph being gone, right? Some part of him feels guilty to be bringing up bad news after their return.]

Ah, well... I suppose that is far better than the alternative.
[He'd really rather be able to do something for her, but... of course, he's not going to force it or anything.]

Yes. I should be grateful. But I'm still angry.

Thank you for that. I'm in your debt.
