Last week Natalie and I went to Paris for four days. The people there were surprisingly nice and served to erase a lot of the Parisian stereotypes that I'd sort of felt obligated to believe for a long time. Just want you guys to know Natalie and I are alright. Two of the explosions happened right near Natalie's flat this morning. This is really crazy. Still waiting to hear back from one person, but everyone else we know is alright it seems.

It has been sweltering hot in London this past week. Natalie's flat is on the top floor, and the neighbors only got the key to the door in the hallway that leads out to the roof from the landlord yesterday. Writing around 20 pages in 48 hours is a really difficult task. I also think it's unfair for something like these take-away papers to count for 50% of my grade, since I never write papers like this, and I don't think professors would ever ask students to write 8 or 10 page papers the day before you hand them in.
