Welcome to another edition of Douchey Moments in History!

"Don't you know that I want to be with you, too?"
Here we get to see Noah give the lamest excuse in the history of the universe as to why he's not ready to have sex with Luke. I know that the real reason for this was because of lame ass ATWT/P&G/CBS politics regarding NOT showing gay sex, ( Read more... )

I didn't really watch much of the Luke/Noah story, but just the way he treated him when the Luke/Reid story started was enough to show how much he didn't deserve Luke ever. I can't get started too much cause I will just go on and on about how douchey Noah is and I don't have time for that this morning because I am running late for work.

Can't wait for the next installment.

It really is possible to go on for hours and hours about just how big of a douche Noah is.... as I think I've been proving with these posts! :D

More later, but:

The worst part? When Luke calls Noah on his eagerness to jump back in the closet, Noah has the nerve to tell Luke that Luke saying that was not cool, and Luke apologizes! For what? For being right?

In rewatching clips for this and in research for stories, I've become incredibly frustrated/annoyed/angry by the way that every time Luke calls Noah out on a bad behavior, Noah always turns it around on Luke, and then accuses Luke of always turning things around on him. And Luke just acquiesces every time, even though Noah never gives a good defense of himself; he just says something like, "That's not cool." Or "How dare you compare that to this?" Or "Why is it that you slam me whenever you do something wrong?" [<-- Actual quote, and OMG, the irony of that quote!!!]

I hate him, Peggin. He needs to DIAF.

Hey, Noah:

Also, also...please, for the love of God, explain to me how anyone sees these characters as an epic romance? For fuck's sake, they are so twisted and wrong for each other! Ugh! Even their good times are tainted with this crap! I'm so glad that the writers/producers at least got that much, and didn't put them back together at the end.

I think it must take a lot of willful blindness and of replacing actual!Noah with some kind of fanon!Noah who never actually appeared on the screen.

I'm so glad that the writers/producers at least got that much, and didn't put them back together at the end.

I am so, so glad that we got an ending where Luke was not with Noah, and that we got at least some (if not nearly enough) of this:

You know, it honestly makes me want to punch the writers in the face for some of this garbage. SERIOUSLY? Nobody except Luke has a problem with shoving Luke back in the closet? And this whole storyline ends with ZOMG LUKE CHEATED BY KISSING BRIAN! Which, of course, Luke should not have kissed Brian, absolutely not; but christ, his family and boyfriend had been treating him like this for months!

Yeah, the fact that Lucinda and Lily both seemed to think that maybe Brian had a point, that they didn't have any problem with Brian suggesting that Luke hide who he is from the world, is just all kinds of fucked up. The fact that Luke's boyfriend seemed to agree is just plain unforgivable. And I'm 99% convinced that the writers expected us to see Brian, Lily, Lucinda as being reasonable, and Luke as being unreasonable, and THAT is even more unforgivable.

This is where I start to get annoyed. You know this is getting seriously bad when Lily and Lucinda (his own FAMILY of all people) are siding with NOAH, instead of their own SON and GRANDSON. And the fact that Noah also isn't on Luke's side, well we already know how we all feel about THAT.

The whole election storyline, even before he pulled the "I cannot tell a lie" bullshit, was all sorts of wrong. Noah is clearly uncomfortable with Luke championing gay rights, and can't see any motivation past (IMO) the only motivation he would have, getting back at someone. I remember being so confused at the time, because Noah was all "This is all about Kevin, isn't it?" And I felt like the show wanted me to believe this, but NOTHING ELSE that was playing out on my screen was validating it.Yeah, the writing by that point was pretty amazingly sloppy and sometimes it was really hard to tell what point the writers were trying to make. Like with this story, IMO there's no question that Luke was right and everyone else was wrong, but then they have Luke go and do something stupid like steal a student election and start drinking, and it kinds of robs any moral authority Luke appeared to have up until that point ( ... )
