Welcome to another edition of Douchey Moments in History!
"I don't want to see you get rejected and feel that way... I mean, what if everyone votes for him and no one votes for you?"
I don't have a lot to say about this clip. It mostly boils down to, I don't think Noah could possibly have been LESS supportive of Luke's decision to run for student

Now, I want to make it clear that I'm not blaming Noah for what Luke did, that is all on Luke. But I can't help but wonder if Luke would have still done it if Noah had offered him more understanding and compassion for the pain Kevin had caused him back in high school and that still lingered, rather than using Luke's pain as an excuse to question their own relationship and storm off in another douchey huff.
AMEN! Luke practically cried about it when talking about his past and yet Noah couldn't be there for him after everything went down? I never got that.

Not only am I convinced that Noah didn't want Luke to run, but I really think a huge part of the reason Noah told the dean about Luke and Casey trying to steal the election was not just because they had done something wrong, but specifically to punish Luke for "disobeying" him and continuing to run when Noah didn't want him to.

N: "Did you come here just to drive me crazy? Because that's what you're doing." Um, tell that to someone who believes you, Noah. I don't. Wow...cringe-worthy moment there.
Luke: You're just jealous
Casey: Oh, you know it!
I LOVE THEM!!!! :D SO CUTE!!! I wish we'd had more of them at the end during Reid-times.
There is altogether too much Nuke kissing in those opening shots. Ugh.
N: Is this really what you want to do?
L: Why do you think it's such a bad idea?
N: I just don't think keeping the gay film festival up and running is really worth all the grief this is going to cause you.
So supportive, Noah! Love your unconditional and unwavering support of Luke! You just know if Noah was the one running for Student Government, Luke would be alllllll over that shit, making fliers, drumming up support, cheering him on ( ... )

Lord, seriously. No heat at all there. I thought Jake and Van had a sweet chemistry between them most of the time, but when they tried to get sexy? Eeesh.

Oh my gosh, can you imagine? Luke would be a one-man campaign MACHINE. He'd move heaven and earth to help Noah get elected.
In conclusion: Noah sucks.

YES!! Because that's what Luke does. He's a loving, supportive boyfriend who cares an insane amount about the people he loves, and he deserves someone who would be the same for him.
Argh, there's only so much I can think about Noah's douchey attitude before I want to break stuff, so I'm gonna think of the more positive side of things...
Can you imagine Reid's reaction if Luke wanted to do something similar, or something else he was passionate about? They'd probably actually have conversations about it, as opposed to arguments - and productive ones at that. And Reid would be genuinely interested in what it is and why it's important to Luke, instead of just whinging about how it would affect his own life. Because he always took the time to see where Luke was coming from, even if it didn't make ( ... )

No matter how much I ship Luke/Reid, there will always be a part of me that has dirty, pervy thoughts about Luke/Casey. Mmmmmmm, Cake!!!!! :D
And questioning his motivation after Luke's just spelled out exactly why he's doing it, absolutely irks the hell out of me. I admit that's a trigger point for me, though, having someone question my motivations or intentions after I've already taken the time to spell them out.
OMG, I know! I just... it makes me want to scream, or throttle him or something! Luke had just explained exactly why he wanted to run, and Noah was all, "No, you're doing it because of Kevin." Get your head out of your ass and actually LISTEN when your boyfriend talks to you, douche!

And can I just point out that the way Noah apparently doesn't want Luke to have any life outside of his relationship with Noah is SUCH a big red warning flag for an abusive relationship. That and how he simultaneously, or at least shortly thereafter, will give Luke a hard time about not having any focus or direction in his life. *rolls eyes* Noah wants it both ways. Ugh ( ... )

Maybe Luke SHOULD ask himself why.... why he has even the slightest desire to be with Noah at all!

N: That's all they are. Just memories. Don't make them bigger than that!
Also, also, uh, Noah? Who is the one turning this election thing into being all about Kevin??? YOU. Who is the one making Luke's memories of Kevin bigger than they are? YOU!!!!!! Luke's been very clear that Kevin is only a small part of the entire reason he's doing this, and yet that's the only part you can see. Douche.

THIS X INFINITY. They loved each other for who they truly were. Noah never loved Luke for who he was, and at the end it wasn't like he realized the error of his ways or anything. He just wanted Luke back and then the same things would happen again and again ad nauseum. They were so wrong for each other.

I don't know if I can really explain it... I'm actually really enjoying putting these posts together. Even though I loathe Noah beyond all measure, and even though I hate seeing him treat Luke like that, there's a part of me that loves every shred of evidence that Noah could never be right for Luke, because it just makes me feel that more strongly that Reid and Luke are perfect for each other.
