Well life has been odd.

Climbing has taken a huge focus in my life right now, and writing. I'm still not pressing myself to do as much as I'd like, of either one, but I'm doing better. I've almost doubled the number of pages I had in my novel (or novella - that really remains to be seen) two weeks ago, and my play has probably quadrupled in length ( Read more... )

God, what a story that needs to be written. Wait for me, dear friends, that I may collect my thoughts. I do indeed wish to tell of the past few weeks... but not now.

Friday is my last day at Academy. Mixed emotions.

"Dennika" is finished. I have a feeling that I've said that once or twice before, but now it's official - a final edit (read: fourth) and a few stamps. Tonight, though the day was hot, was the first night it has felt like winter. The distinctive smell of mesquite was on the wind, the first hint of wood being stoked in the fireplaces. Today was (mostly) fun. Emma and I went and drove around today like nobody's business. First we went over to Joanne's so she could buy some buckles for suspenders. I've finally gotten back to climbing. I am, admittedly, very bad, simply due to my long absence (almost a month). It's taking me a while to get back into the groove, but yesterday was the most inspired day of climbing in, well, almost a month.
