I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix this morning. I think I might be in the minority on this one, but I really liked it. Of course, I am a morbid creature, and this is a dark, dark movie. As another morbid fuck who doesn't mind the film adaptations being... for lack of a better word, adapted, I am really looking forward to this tomorrow at midnight.

Tommy objects to what he calls "dark" films. He doesn't mean "films where creepy shit happens," he means literally "films where the backdrops and lighting are dim." They tend to put him to sleep. I already warned him he better drink a shitload of coffee. And not make fun of me if I weep openly.

Dude, I love Steve Buscemi. The only time I ever watched anything with commentary was the Pine Barrens episode of Sopranos that he directed.

Sarah and I share 9/10 of a brain, I think, except that I don't think I'm particularly morbid. This film has to be dark - it's the darkest in the series, the turning point - and I'd be incredibly sad if you said it was all fun and lightness. Harry needs to CAPSLOCK and to confront a different kind of (banal) eefil.

Also, Steve Buscemi is so cool. The only time I wanted to watch The Sopranos was the episode he directed but ... I forgot.
